Saturday!

11:31, Saturday, May 27, 06.

It's 85 degrees F outside, and 75 inside(according to the thermostat, but I think it's much hotter :'-) )

My mom and grandmother just got back from a trip downtown. They brought home a book that my younger brother is excited about, and *yum* picnic food! Ice cream sandwiches and watermelon. The perfect hot day foods.

The temp in the fishtanks was up very high last night. We're not used to having fishtanks in hot weather. If you were a fish, would you like your tank to be 84 degrees? I don't think so. We're going to have to close all the windows and turn on the AC today, because the temp was still up pretty high this morning even before we put on their lights. Poor cats, they won't like it. They love to sit in the windows. :P

It's dark out.....

It's 8:36 PM on Friday. It's dark out. :(

I worked in the garden today. There were chipmunks
chattering away at us from a nearby tree as we dug
the raised beds. :D We saw two chipmunks running
across the fence, seems like we've been visited by
Chip and Dale!

Yesterday while walking the dog I saw something
hopping down by the garden. I went down to the
fence to check it out. I saw a large rabbit hopping
around the inside of the garden fence, the fence
that was supposed to be rabbit-proof. It looked
very distressed, and it was hopping around frantic-
ally, smashing into the fenceposts trying to escape.
I thought that maybe I should go back up to the
house and tell my mother about it and ask her
what to do, but then I remembered the gate.
I opened it up and backed off to let the rabbit escape.
The rabbit would not come towards the gate, since
it saw me, and more frighening, *gasp* a dog!
After a few seconds it bashed into a corner and
somehow escaped through a hole in the fence.
I checked out the exit point - lo and behold,
there was a huge gap in the mesh fencing material.
That must have also been the point of entrance,
too. Well, there's one more thing to do, fix the
fence! Poor rabbit, must've been scared half to death.

One last thought......what would happen if you got
scared half to death twice? O_o *chuckle*

I bid you adue for now,

God bless,

Summer ideas!

SUMMER FUN

Here are some fun summer ideas:

Go to a local state park with a picnic lunch. This is something I do all the time. It gives me a good chance to watch nature. You might want to bring notebooks, sketchpads, pencils, cameras, and extra film ;) .

Have a birdwatching outing. If you are willing to get up early, go out early in the morning, within 2 hours of sunrise for optimal viewing experience.

Have a cookout partty in your backyard! Invite friends! Roast marshmallows! Bring out the slip'n slide!

Hope you like those ideas.

God Bless,

-GodsGal

It's Almost Summertime...

Your All-In-One Birdwatching, Gardening, and Outdoor Enjoyment Site!

It's Thurday, May 18, 2006. It's 80 F outside, and sunny.
Why am I telling you this? I really don't know.
Follow my journey through the summer, check back often!

Isn't God's creation wonderful? I enjoy sitting outside on the deck
and watching the sky. It brings a certain sense of awe and joy.
How wonderful it is that our God would create such a beautiful
world for us to inhabit!

chickadee on a feeder.
He loves the bird food
bar put out. It has a
conglomeration of peanuts,
sunflower seeds,
and other assorted
grains stuck together
by a delicious-smelling
gelatin substance.
